Mentors and learner assistants
Both profiles are of interest to Hook up!
Many universities prepare their students to work as language teacher assistants in the course of their studies. Hook up! will take advantage of their training to offer students close tutorship. This role will be extended to assist teachers with the online learning, thus offering them an additional experience/qualification as ". In the Hook Up! lingo these students are called MENTORS and will drill students and help the teachers in the correction of work.
All universities have students who "have been there, done that". These students can assist the "newbie" in going about learning a foreign language and offer opportunities to practice with someone who is "closer" to the student and is seen as less judgemental. To a certain extent they act as a language learning buddy system.
